Indigenous Claims Clerical Support Clerk Job at First Canadian Health

Our partner and client, Express Scripts Canada, administers on behalf of Health Canada Dental Claim Adjudication. This role entails the completion of tasks to support adjudicating Non-Insured Health Benefit Dental Claims for Aboriginals in Canada.

The role of a Clerical Support Clerk is to perform all administrative tasks required to ensure that the claims processing operation runs smoothly on a daily basis. Clerical Support Clerks are responsible for receiving and sorting of all paper claims that Express Scripts Canada receives through multiple channels such as mail, fax and web as well as managing the storage of all physical claims.

This role contributes to Express-Scripts Canada by meeting our Claims Processing Service Levels which contributes to customer satisfaction and minimizes risk of financial penalties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and log all incoming claims from all channels on a daily basis
  • Count and track all claims received on a daily basis and report this to management
  • Sort claim types in batches ensuring the accuracy of receive date
  • Scan and store claims based on benefits ensuring the accuracy of receive date
  • Distribute claims to Processor based on Benefits,
  • Manage the filing and storage of all paper claims in a filing room and arranging for storage offsite to be sent or retrieved
  • Be responsible in pulling any filed claims upon request from internal and external clients
  • Administrative duties to ensure the office is stocked with supplies

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills, familiarity working with multiple screens and experience with data entry
  • Experience working in an operational setting is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to work or interpret data independently

  • Intermittent walking within the Claims Department for Team support
