Inside Sales Representative Job at Waste Connections
Waste Connections of Canada is a leading non-hazardous solid waste management in North America. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous, and proactive team player
Key tasks:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email for questions related to waste and recycling services, including scheduling and pick up
- Analyze account activity and suggest opportunities for service improvements to the customer
- Must be good at problem-solving and handling disgruntled customers- One stop resolution for customer issues
- Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment.
- Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints.
- Retain and grow the commercial waste removal and disposal services.
- Working with Outside Sales Representatives to help keep existing customers.
- Maintain appropriate files and documentation, in accordance with company policy and internal controls
- Interacting with customers, non-profit, and business associations.
- Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes and demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.
- Interview and record customers information into the computer, talks with customers by phone and in person, receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.
- Fill out contract forms, determine charges for service requested, prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders.
- Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.
- Delivers service to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill.
- Solicit sales of new or additional services and customer renewals of low revenue customers.
- Support new business opportunities and existing customer new business additions to the District.
- cold call customers provided by Sales manager to assist in setting up appointments or direct selling
- Assist with ARES through entering / updating status based on cold calls conducted
- Renewals of low revenue and medium revenue accounts for the District.
- Identify and resolve current customer problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions.
- Cultivate client relationships with our brokers and maintain a personal level with all our brokers and customers helping to control Districts churn rate
- Assist with change order forms/updating Trux/changes in Ares when necessary
- Assist with A.R collections and delinquent account follow up when necessary
- Take inbound calls and assist in defending District Price Increases as required
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Waste Connections competitive positioning in the market
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of customer service/office admin experience
- Pleasant demeanor over the phone and emails
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and TRUX an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Telephone sales and customer skills are a key component of the position with successful track record of maintaining existing business, prospecting and closing new business.
- Excellent phone etiquette and demeanor.
- Maintain and develop existing business best practices.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment and be prepared to develop and execute strategies
- Ability to learn and use multiple computer systems simultaneously
- Motivated by individual and team achievement
- Critical and logical thinking skills
