Cantiro has been in a digital transformation for the past two years with the goal of reinforcing our position in the land development and home building industry. The demand on the IT Department is growing, and we need valuable resources with strong technical skills, creative minds and passion to further strengthen our ability to support the business.

We are looking for one person to join our IT Department and grow with Cantiro on the journey to help meet the company’s goals.

Note: This position is located in Edmonton and is not remote - potential WFH locally in Edmonton 1-2 days per week on occasion after 6 months.

A little of what you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the IT Business Analyst to translate varied business requirements from different departments into technical solutions
  • Become part of an integral piece of the technical backbone on the development and implementation of solutions
  • Support HomeFront, BuildPro, Sage Intacct and other technologies to help bring business needs to life.
  • Help us to build out the right reporting solution, potentially Power BI, for pulling together valuable data from Salesforce and our ERP for Marketing.
  • Use your in-depth understanding of SQL to provide support for our ERP users and help to develop further capabilities within the tools.
  • Collaborate on and contribute to Cantiro’s technology direction with your strong understanding of the capabilities of different development tools.
  • Cross train with the other members of IT to intensify the power of the department.

  • Able to apply the fundamentals of change management to avoid unnecessary risk to business processes when implementing solutions.
  • Able to take direction and adapt to changes over the course of projects as they evolve.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a keen attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in computers with a minimum of 5 years related experience in development and application support.
  • High level experience with and understanding of SQL, APIs, Power BI, Java and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Excel and Macros and how to bring data together.
  • Experience with creating data diagrams and process flow diagrams.
  • End-to-end application development and implementation experience.
  • Expert at troubleshooting application and data issues for users using SQL.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC.

Considered and Asset:

  • An understanding of ERP systems, and how they manage business processes
  • Knowledge of HomeFront, BuildPro, Sage Intacct, TimberScan / Titanium.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRMs.
  • Understanding of Sales and Marketing processes.
