Our financial operations team is where the buck starts, stops, and everything in-between. They work with our project teams to ensure our fees are aligned to our work and continue to keep DIALOG profitable. Their analytical abilities and spreadsheet expertise turn incomprehensible numbers into meaningful data that allow DIALOG’s leaders to make strategic business decisions, propelling our business forward.

We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to work from our Edmonton studio As an entry-level position, there is much to learn! And help you learn we will! You will work closely with the Financial Controller and the rest of the Financial Operations team, learning how our industry works, how DIALOG’s business works, and will use that knowledge to start your career.

How you'll make a difference:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and corresponding reporting obligations under ASPE,
• Preparing account reconciliations and operating accruals,
• Equity reconciliation and preparation of statements of Partners’ accounts,
• Forecasting and trending analysis,
• Working with internal stakeholders on required matters,
• Proposing continuous improvements to processes and reports, and
• Supporting the Financial Controller on other ad hoc requests/special projects.

Who you are:

• You hold an accounting degree or diploma
• You have studied full cycle and financial reporting and associated variance analysis
• You have advance excel knowledge (pivot table, vlookups etc)
• You are a self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities
• You have an aptitude for learning new accounting systems
• You are a highly detailed individual with the ability to dig deep and perform analytics to draw insights from data
