Apprentice Technician
This apprentice position is for the installation and service of both commercial and residential doors, garage door openers, and all related accessories. Candidates that are mechanically inclined are ideal.
Must Haves:
- Excellent mechanical and technical skills
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Physically able to move items weighing 75 lbs or higher
- Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Possess interpersonal skills to relate to customers and solve issues
- Hold a G license
- Pick up parts from manufacturer and suppliers when required
- Travel when required to complete scheduled work orders
- Track hours of work accurately
- Wear appropriate uniform and safety equipment
- Arrive at the shop for scheduled time in the mornings
- Be responsible for assisting loading the truck and/or trailer with all necessary parts and supplies to complete the assigned work
- Report all necessary information to the office during the day
- Assist with keeping the truck/vehicle clean and presentable
- You’ll work in commercial, residential, and industrial settings
