Login Canada, one of Canada's leading book distributors, is growing and looking for a Junior Programmer to join our IT Team.

The Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for support, maintenance, and enhancements to existing software and systems. The candidate will also work in new application software development in designing, programming, and implementing new software solutions. The candidate will also possess excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work as part of a team as well as handle individual tasks, be flexible and adaptive, plus have experience in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Analyzing information and problem solving

· General programming skills

· Software design, debugging, documentation, and testing

· Software development fundamentals and processes

Required Experience & Skills

· University degree in computer science or equivalent education

· 2+ years of experience in software development

· Experience in multiple programming languages

· Willingness to learn Business Basic BBx programming language

· Comfortable working with market driven timelines

· Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize work, and stay well organized in order to meet market driven timelines.

· Ability to take ownership on deliverables.

Beneficial Skills & Technical Knowledge

· Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor PC software and hardware fixes.

· Experience with API integration

· Proficiency with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PERL

· Familiarity with cURL and Expect, Linux / AIX
