For over 30 years Royal Camp Services has been Western Canadas premier remote camp and catering company. We provide catering and hospitality solutions for small camps consisting of just a few clients to major camp projects necessitating hundreds of clients.

A Kitchen General Helper is responsible for supporting the kitchen in multiple activities in order to maintain an efficient camp for our clients.

Job duties can include but are not limited to the following:

• Washing, peeling, and wrapping of food
• Stocking, shelving, replenishing of food and supplies in kitchen and dining areas
• Dishwashing
• Wiping counters and tables; sweeping and mopping
• Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed
• Ensure food quality, food safety (including reporting all food allergies), and food standards are followed
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as per task, equipment usage, or PPE requirements
• Participate in Toolbox/Tailgate meetings, complete Field Level Hazard Assessment, and Hazard Identifications on a daily basis
• Assist in unloading the grocery truck
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Applicants local to Grande Prairie, Alberta preferred
• 1 year of previous kitchen experience considered an asset
• Must have a valid Standard First Aid certification and an Alberta Health Services approved Food Safety Certificate
• Must be able to provide own transportation to dispatch points based in Grande Prairie and / or Edmonton
• Be able to provide at least 2 professional work references
• Must have attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including reading, writing, and speaking English)
• Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Available to work multiple rotations including but not limited to 21-7, 10-4, 9-5, and 14-7
• Available to work a day shift, afternoon shift, split shift, or night shift
