We’re looking for a Lead Generation Representative. The work location is North America and is eligible for fully remote or hybrid work.

The Opportunity:

Working directly with our Marketing team to identify incoming leads, you will use your pleasant and professional phone manner to quickly engender trust while you qualify customers and potential opportunities. You’ll ensure a professional and courteous customer experience while gathering the necessary information to direct leads to the appropriate Sales Partner. Levering your strong skills in forging new relationships and motivational personality, combined with the tools and ownership we give, will enable you to succeed and contribute to the growth of our high-performance team.
The core of the job as a Lead Generation Representative is to efficiently process and respond to inbound leads, contact potential sellers to gather insights on their needs and fleet information, uncover any consignment needs, and fill your regional pipeline with as many viable opportunities as possible. To accomplish this, the Lead Generation Representative will work with clients across Canada and the United States, from sole proprietors to major corporations. This position is front line at Ritchie Bros. and is directly responsible for:
  • Covering inbound customer phoneline and inbound web leads
  • Customer-centric soft selling
  • Generate new business through marketing and individual initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer focused soft selling – you are motivated, organized, and resourceful with a strong sense of urgency and excellent time management skills.
  • Internal Relationship Building – you will support our Sales Partners and be able to obtain all pertinent info upfront to ensure leads are passed to the proper selling resource.
  • Excellent administrative and reporting abilities; a continuous learner and proactive problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, with a competitive attitude, but capable of operating effectively in a TEAM environment. Demonstrates tenacity, flexibility, and the positive attitude required to turn strangers into customers.
  • Eager to “go the extra mile” - lives for the satisfaction of meeting customer needs, hitting operational goals, and seeing a job well done.

Here's what you'll bring:

  • 1+ years of lead generation support experience and/or inside sales or sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting/exceeding quotas and performance objectives.
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce and a comfortable ability to communicate over the phone and effectively work within a “virtual” corporate culture.
  • Experience with Salesforce and general office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred.
  • Relentlessly driven to seek new business - you are competitive, but you never sacrifice integrity to win.
  • Good with soft selling and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced setting.
  • Additional languages are an asset - especially Spanish.
