House of Cars, is a growing automotive group with 13 locations. We are seeking an auto mechanic to perform work on retail and internal vehicles. This includes (but is not restricted to): diagnostics, inspections, repairs, routine maintenance, fluid services, brakes, engine diagnostics(diagnostic troubleshooting, routine maintenance, leaks, etc).

The ideal candidate would have knowledge in working with general market import and domestic brands(diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, routine maintenance, etc) and be able to perform Mechanical Fitness Assessment's.

Responsibilities

• AMVIC MFA and OPI Inspections
• Tire mount + balance and repairs
• Brake jobs
• Fluid services
• Diagnostics of MILs
• Engine diagnostics
• Electrical Diagnostics
• Routine Maintenance (service intervals)
• Repair or replace broken parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
• Have a proven track record of completing repairs
• Keep notes on work and issues
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
• Take pride in their workspace by keeping the shop clean and organized
• Be punctual, have excellent work ethic

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to complete jobs in specified time frame
• Ability to handle various tools and diagnostic machines
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc
• Ability to lift and manage heavy parts
• Valid journeyman certification
• Valid drivers license
