Our team is looking for a skilled Maintenance Worker or Handyman who will play a critical role in the maintenance and upkeep of our farm's equipment and facilities. This job will be pivotable for a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a trades certificate or apprenticeship and have skills in all areas such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping, and carpentry. This position requires flexibility to work in all areas of the farms and production.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintaining equipment and troubleshooting and repair of equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler and refrigeration operations
• Assists with maintaining facility infrastructure
• Maintains maintenance and equipment records
• Follows all safety and food safety procedures

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment (preferred)
• Trades certification(s) or apprenticeship is an asset, but not required
• Must be able to speak and read English
• Strong knowledge and skills in electrical and mechanical
• Adaptable and ability to work both independently and in a diverse team
• Able to lift and haul up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a production and farm environment (hot or cold temperatures, noise, etc.)
• Must be eligible to work in Canada

We offer a competitive salary of $24.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on your skill level and apprenticeship/certification level. This is a full-time or part-time permanent position with a flexible schedule that requires availability on weekends.
