Reporting to the Vice President, Maintenance, the Manager, Maintenance Execution leads the Teck Maintenance Team which is responsible for improving Maintenance Performance across Teck to achieve Maintenance Excellence in the areas of asset reliability, cost and capital reduction and asset lifecycle optimization. This role has Teck wide impact and responsibilities and is primarily focused on improving all aspects of Maintenance and leading the Teck Maintenance team.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental compliance
  • Lead the Teck Maintenance Performance improvement effort, specifically in the areas of Maintenance Strategy, Asset Health, Work Management and Execution, Quality Management and Assurance and Sustainability and Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain an organization that has the in-depth knowledge and skills to coach, mentor and advance all key aspects of Maintenance and continuous improvement principles to be consistent with the long-term vision and Teck’s business goals
  • Lead the Maintenance Team to sustain Teck maintenance standards, workflows, and processes for Teck Sites to assure an aligned and coordinated approach to develop and advance tactical and strategic plans
  • Actively vet new opportunities and monitor current initiatives to improve Maintenance Performance and continuous improvement principles, workflow and process standards; report trends, outcomes and support the gap closure
  • Align the use of the Teck Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) with the business vision and current operating strategy for Maintenance Performance improvement
  • Champion and support workflow optimization and standardization in maintenance and connected areas of support such as supply chain and shutdown management
  • Actively apply Operational Readiness and Organizational Change Management as tools to advance all aspects of the above accountabilities, ensure training and change management processes are in place during implementation to allow sites to take advantage of system functionality

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in a related field, or a technical diploma/trade certification with a minimum fifteen years of relevant experience
  • Advanced understanding of maintenance work management processes, execution, and maintenance continuous improvement principles
  • High level working knowledge of reliability processes and supply chain management, good understanding of Maximo or other EAM programs and functionality
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite® is required, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent is an asset
