The Opportunity

We are growing and looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Technologist tojoin the Operations team working in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Objective & Purpose

· Part of the new product introduction team interfacing with Engineering, Production and Materials Management.

· Assist in troubleshooting internal and external non-conformances.

· Assist in Engineering Change Effectivity planning.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

· Provide technical and process support to Manufacturing Operations during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

· Participate and provide manufacturability feedback in design review meetings.

· Troubleshoot technical and or process support for internal or external non conformances.

· Work with Material Management, Manufacturing and Engineering to plan Engineering Change Effectivity.

· Assist the Manufacturing Engineering team in troubleshooting or repairing production equipment as required.

Education, Training & Experience

· Electronic Technologist Diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of five (5) years work experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering

· Electronics Manufacturing experience required

· Previous ERP experience (Syspro preferred)

Preferred Skills and Competency Requirements

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB design documentation.

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and design documentation.

· Experience in supporting New Product Introduction in a discrete manufacturing environment.

· Knowledge of electrical circuitry and componentry combined with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical/PCB issues.

· Knowledge and experience with manufacturing process controls, in process testing, data collection and lean manufacturing methodologies

· Knowledge and strong proficiency with ERP Systems / Bills of Materials / Bills of Operations is an asset

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills combined with a high degree of personal accountability.

· Strong conceptual and analytical skills

· Strong team player that is production support driven

· Highly motivated self-starter

· Business acumen and understanding of general business practices

· Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
