Savanna Drilling Canada is searching for a Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright at Savanna, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment. This position is based out of our Leduc, AB office.

Core Responsibilities:

• Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
• Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
• Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineries
• Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
• Sharpening and maintaining machine tools
• Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
• Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries
• Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
• Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Journeyperson certified. Other trades certification with proven mechanical maintenance and repair experience may be considered;
• Experience with using PLC;
• Valid Driver’s License;
• Possess a valid Standard First Aid and H2S tickets
• Experience in related Oilfield position will be considered an asset;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Willingness to learn and develop;
• An aptitude for problem solving and planning;
• Ability to get along with co-workers and work in an individual or team environment;
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work at heights
• Must be available for varying shifts and to travel to remote locations
