Job Description:
Arterra Wines Canada is Canada’s leading producer and marketer of wine and wine related products, with operations in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec. The company’s portfolio includes great brands like Jackson Triggs, Inniskillin, Ruffino, Robert Mondavi, and Kim Crawford.
We are currently seeking a qualified Millwright to install and maintain Company assets (i.e. building and equipment) in good order to ensure business continuity and productivity. This position is based in our Niagara Falls facility. The facility is a commercial winery, and is one of the largest and most technically advanced wine-making facilities in Ontario, producing a large variety of products, using both traditional as well as new wine-making and packaging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform changeovers and setup as required to meet production schedule
- Repair and adjust equipment during operations to maintain line standards
- Perform minor and major repair of buildings and equipment as required
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
- Report all unsafe conditions to supervision
- Troubleshoot issues and suggest continuous improvement ideas
- Complete documentation and inspections as required
Working Conditions
- Rotational shift work is required
- Must be able & willing to work overtime as required
- This position may require physical effort which entails lifting & moving up to and including 50 lbs
- Outside work may be required, in all weather conditions
- May work in noisy areas
Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Hold a valid certificate of qualification is a recognized trade (i.e. Millwright / Electrician etc.)
