Overnight Camp Counsellor Job at Community Ventures Society
Needed for 3 weeks of overnight camps for children who have complex health care needs and all use wheelchairs. Camps in beautiful Crescent Beach, White Rock, BC. Must be available to work at all 3 camps. Lifting and personal care are essential job requirements.
You will be responsible for the care and supervision of the campers from 11pm - 7am Monday - Thursday night that each camp is in session. You will monitor and provide care and comfort to the campers as needed throughout the night. You will be responsible to perform other duties as needed and some documentation is required.

July 17 - 21
July 31 - August 4
Aug 7 - 11
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Criminal Record Check Required
- Cooperates with other camp staff to provide a positive quality care environment.
- Previous camp experience is an asset
- Related post-secondary education is an asset
- Must be 19+ years old
- Must be in good physical condition with no physical restrictions
- Be familiar with the assigned campers’ special medical conditions and/or behavioural issues and act according to care support directives provided
by the Camp Coordinators, Nurse, and the campers’ parents/guardians.
- Be familiar with camper’s support needs and act accordingly.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and take initiative as needed.
Wage: $152.00 per night
