Compass is seeking a Packager. Reporting to the Shipping/Receiving Foreman the Senior Shipper is responsible for the shipping of materials, parts and units in a timely manner as well as the completion and accuracy of required documentation. They shall also have strong organizational and time management skills

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Follow directions/orders from supervisors
• Ship required items as per procedures
• Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of S/R areas
• Assist with shipping and other duties at other plants when required
• Prepare documentation and accurate reports on product movement as required
• Pack items into proper containers/pallets/boxes ensuring proper securement and protection of items during shipping
• Affix shipping labels/packing lists and stencil identifying shipping information on required items
• Take required pictures of shipped items and download into project shipping folders
• Assist with loading of items for shipment
• Remain compliant with WHMIS, TDG, and all other safety regulations.
• Identify efficiencies within and continuous improvement practices
• Assist with inventory counts/audits as required
• Assist with reconciliation and shipping discrepancies as required
• Assist in other areas when required
• Participate in the Quality Control Program
• Participate in the Health and Safety Program

What You Bring

Your education and experience include:

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean abstract
• Forklift Training and experience
• Good written and oral communication
• Basic computers skills, Microsoft Office
• Good Time management
• Familiar with Safety programs and requirements
• WHMIS
• Crane operation
