What responsibilities will you have in this role?
- Checks in-out all continuing care clients requested charts.
- Provides efficient and effective front-line services to clients and students.
- Answers phone calls.
- Provides support to students in regard to the client scheduling system; explains processes, guides students on rotation.
- Monitors assignment of clients to students.
- Manages students’ voicemails.
- Enters new client information into the dental management software.
- Faxes medical consultations and referrals to physicians’ offices.
- Scans documentation into the dental management software.
- Processes payments for services.
- Balances daily deposits.
- Other duties as required.
What qualifications do you need for this role?
- One year certificate or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Dental Hygiene, Dental Assistant, Dental Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, Health Information Management or any other related.
- Minimum two years customer service-related experience; with experience working in a high-volume environment or student services department.
- Knowledge of dental practice management software is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience, and styles.
- Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes.
Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
