Who we are looking for:

Triple Eight Transport Inc. is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk. You’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as solid computer skills, time management, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities include

General Payroll:

• Prepare and submit paystubs for salary and hourly employees
• Support all aspects of company departments
• Reconciling vacation and sick employees
• Manage employee benefits
• Assist in month end reporting procedures
• Perform filing and general administrative tasks
• Assist accounting personnel with any other tasks conducted within the accounting department
• Completion of full cycle payroll and year end reporting

Driver Payroll:

• Calculating Driver City hours
• Monitor vendor WCB
• Liaise with other departments/drivers/vendors
• Settlement of trip sheets
• Upload fuel entries in system
• Other duties as required

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

• Planning and organizing including scheduling and prioritizing work tasks to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Communication skills- verbal and written
• Excellent problem-solving skills- Able to identify problems and implement workable solutions
• Works effectively as a part of a team
• Minimum of one year of experience in Transportation industry is an asset
• Experience in Great Plains Software is an asset
• Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada
