Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG’s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.

Jardeg is Recruiting Pipeline Labourers (Spacers) with the MEG Energy Pipeline Projects team on site near Conklin, Alberta. These are full-time/long term positions on either an 8/6 or 21/7 rotation. This is a drive-in / drive-out site only and travel allowance will be provided.

Effective October 3rd, 2022 – All labourers at MEG Energy will receive a $3/hr incentive on top of the base hourly wage paid on all hours worked (regular and overtime).

Pipeline Labourers perform various general construction activities such as:

• Use of rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chainfalls, etc.
• Rig up spools, valves, blinds, etc. for removal and installation.
• Working safely alongside mobile equipment such as telehandlers, mobile crane, etc

• Assisting Pipefitters with alignment and bolt up on 24” - 42” pipe.
• Erect and take down skid piles.
• Assist with stringing activities.
• Manual material handling.
• Operate hand and power tools.

• Clean and prepare sites.
• Perform spotting for various types of equipment as well as overhead powerlines.
• Understanding and following company the safety management system and core values.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Previous construction experience
• Physical strength and stamina
• Manual dexterity
• Safety conscious attitude
