Intent of the process
The immediate need is to staff up to 4 positions. A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various employment tenures, language profiles, security requirements and conditions of employment.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social sciences, communications, or a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Degree equivalency
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
- Graduate from a polygraph school duly accredited and recognized by the American Polygraph Association at the time of graduation.
MEMBERSHIP
- Valid membership in the American Polygraph Association (APA)
EXPERIENCE
- Two years’ experience as a security interviewer.
Depending on the position being staffed: Additional qualifications may be added and deemed as either essential or asset and you may be contacted and asked to submit information or be further assessed.

- Successful completion of a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in social sciences, communications, or a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Degree equivalency
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
- Advanced polygraph examiner training with law enforcement, security intelligence agency or recognized professional body.
MEMBERSHIP
- Valid membership in the American Association of Police Polygraphists (AAPP) or Canadian Association of Police Polygraphists (CAPP)
EXPERIENCE
- Two years’ experience as a Certified Polygraph Examiner.
- Experience working in a security role within the Government of Canada
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of the Government of Canada’s Standard on Security Screening.
