Northern College is seeking a Process Support Liaison in our Human Resource Services department. The successful candidate will have good communication, planning, attention to detail, organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience in dealing with confidentiality and using standard MS Office suite programs. In addition, experience in a unionized environment is preferred.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resource Services, the successful candidate will provide services to bridge gaps and relieve bottlenecks in key Human Resource (HR) service areas such as recruitment, assignment submissions, communication/information, pay equity and onboarding. The incumbent is responsible for delivering a variety of efficient, effective and confidential HR support services to departments across the College.

What you will be doing:

  • Work proactively with colleagues across the College to support a coordinated approach to HR service delivery and support the Human Resource Services (HRS) department by facilitating the flow of information between departments, following up on outstanding action items as identified by the HRS team;
  • Create and maintain plans, accurate records, measurable data, information logs and contribute to the overall success of HRS Service Standards and Delivery; and
  • Other duties may include involvement in various HR initiatives and programs such as professional development, mental health and wellness program delivery and other transactional processes as needed.

What you will need to be considered:

  • 2- year diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business, Recruitment or related field; and
  • 3 years of related experience in human resources, recruitment or a related administrative role.

The incumbent may be required to provide a criminal reference check.
