We are looking for a Production Technician / Assembler based in our Mississauga (Dundas & 403) office. You will be an essential member of our BaseVac manufacturing team and will be directly responsible for assembling our BaseVac Dental systems.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Production Technician will:

• Work in a team with the Production Manager and other production specialists to prepare for production runs by staging parts and preparing the workspace.
• Work in a team to assemble dental vacuum and air products by following SOPs, assembly instructions and ISO procedures.
• Provide verbal and written reports on production performance to managers.
• Assist with product testing and quality assurance.
• Lead in the maintenance of a safe and organize workspace by cleaning up before and after production runs, cleaning work surfaces, sweeping floors, etc.
• Monitor supply inventory and coordinate with manager and / or purchaser to restock supplies as needed using email and / or Spire inventory management software.
• Prepare products for shipment with cleaning, paint touch ups, packing, etc.
• Coordinate with sales team and production manager to assign completed units to customer orders.
• Occasionally support customers with technical service requests by phone or email.
• Support the production team with other relevant production and mechanical support duties.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Hands-on mechanical or product assembly experience
• Experience with basic power tools - power drills, saws, etc.
• Verbal and written English skills

• Experience in a team-oriented environment preferred (retail, restaurant, volunteer)
• Experience in a production / assembly line environment preferred (restaurant, manufacturing, volunteer)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Work under pressure
• Handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
• Physically demanding
• Standing for extended periods
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Working in occasionally noisy environment
