Position Overview

VIVO Cannabis’ licensed producer, ABcann Medicinals in Napanee Ontario is seeking a Production Associate to join their production team. The Production Associate will be responsible for accurately performing a variety of post-production activities from harvest to final product dependent on company demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing all post-production activities from harvest to final products include but not limited to: harvesting, trimming, drying/curing, bulk packaging, milling, bottling, labelling and waste disposal
  • Assist in developing, reviewing and modifying all post-production SOPs, batch documents and other associated documents to reflect current and best practices and ensuring that all documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Responsible for use and documentation of post-production computer system. (i.e. Ample, Smartsheet) Proactively update and maintain knowledge of all approved software
  • Support and understanding of GMP process’ and activities on site.
  • Responsible for sanitation of all post-production supplies, equipment and environment
  • Responsible for operating all post-production equipment using approved Standard Operating Procedures
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all post-production activities, support in all training activities related to post-production
  • Support all change management activities for current and new product development
  • Complete master batch records as activities are performed
  • Perform tasks in manufacturing batch records as Performer
  • Act as Verifier by observing tasks of Performer in manufacturing batch records
  • Complete manufacturing batch record entries as activities are performed or verified
  • Responsible for completing all necessary training for a Processing Associate
  • Any other responsibilities defined in the SOP’s listed in the associated curriculum for Processing Associate (or other terminology for title used until switchover to correct title occurs in relevant department SOP’s
  • Perform additional duties as required and assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Knowledge, training, and significant experience in Good Production Practices (GPP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) considered as an asset
  • Capable of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
  • Team Environment
  • Strong computer skills; Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Previous experience working in a regulated production environment considered as an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time, set priorities, and multi-task
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be 19+ with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if requested, as per Health Canada's Cannabis Act
  • Previous Health Canada Security Clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) is considered as an asset
