In general, you will be responsible for directing the activities of the team in production activities and manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Clear communication with sales and logistics ensuring deadlines are met.
- Use work orders to create schedules that satisfy the work load
- Have an awareness of opportunities to increase productivity and overall efficiency
- High level of safety consciousness/active participation
- Monitor employees work schedules for time and attendance in the creation of payroll data for plant manager
- Schedule internal and external quality control inspections to measure compliance with standard specifications
- Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
- Monitor materials and inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies to meet schedules.
- Direct supervision of all staff involved in the production process.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Ideally 5 years of relevant experience
- Clean drivers abstract
- Basic math skills
- Effective communicator
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Attention to detail
- Flexible
- Knowledge of office suite
