Boeing Company is seeking a Program Control Officer - Transformation Program reporting to the Program Management Executive, working out of the Ontario, Canada office.

This role is an integral part of the Boeing team, helping to execute a variety of projects. The position requires experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver against Program commitments and priorities. Creating and leading effective project management processes and detailed planning and communication skills are essential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Creates and manages the project plan working with all stakeholders and owners.

  • Ensures that all the dependencies and critical path items are captured for the program

  • Works with Tower leads to track the progress of individual tasks/items within the project plan.

  • Tracks any schedule slippage and updates the PMO on a daily basis.

  • Creates weekly report on the Program status and calls out any risks identified during the week.

  • Maintains the RAID (Risk, Action, Issue and Decision) log for the program.

  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers.

  • May lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.

  • Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 5+ years of Program Control Officer experience

  • Experience in a similar position assisting program/portfolio management

  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to analyze and present complex data in easily understandable and actionable formats

  • An analytical and methodical mindset with strong attention to detail is required; as problem-solving ability & an excessive degree of comfort with navigating and resolving ambiguous issue

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Knowledge related to program/project cost management, assumptions and risk-based planning, risk assessment, schedule management, status reporting, general administration, and program/project management frameworks.

  • Project management experience in Agile and Iterative Waterfall methodologies.

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor's) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This requisition is for a, locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
