The opportunity:

The Aurora Modernization Program is focused on the development and configuration of new applications for the Banner platform. This Program ensures that new applications meet quality and architectural standards and are integrated effectively and efficiently within the overall Technology Services’ application portfolio.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the incumbent is primarily responsible for leading, coordinating and participating in project related activities related to the Aurora Modernization Program. The incumbent also coordinates project activities and communications with senior stakeholders impacted by the Aurora Modernization Program.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

· Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field required, preferably in Business Management, Computer Science (or equivalent), or a college diploma with a specialization in Project Management or Business Analysis.

· Minimum four years of experience in projects in a formalized project coordination and management environment required.

· Experience with Solution Development Life Cycles and use of project management principles and practices (cx. PMBOK/PRINCE2).

· Must have experience with the definition, documentation and tracking of project plans, budgets, and schedules.

· Experience working as a Project Manager in a Post-Secondary Institution would be an asset.

· An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

· Must have strong practical project management and analytical skills.

· Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written (with the ability to communicate to various levels of management).

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and resolved problems independently.

· Must have strong planning, organizational, analysis, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

· Must be able to adapt to change and able to manage stress effectively.

· Must be able to learn quickly, become competent in, and effectively apply new skills.

· Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

· Must be proficient in the use of a Microsoft Project or other project management software.

· Strong attention to detail with good follow up skills.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.

· Ability to work under pressure and to exhibit effective time management skills required.

· Capable of working to deadlines required.

· Approaches situations by actively looking for opportunities to improve project processes.

· Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

· PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Certification, IIBA Certification, or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation would be considered an asset.

· Agile certification would be an asset.

· Experience with a Jira or similar tools would be an asset.

· Experience in Resource Management.
