Job Purpose
As a Project Manager, you will work closely with clients and engineering staff to design, scope, and build highly complex audio-visual and access control integrated security, and structured cabling projects. The success of this role will depend on your planning and organization capabilities, operational excellence, creative problem-solving skills in addressing complex project issues, and leadership in guiding and managing projects teams through the project lifecycle.
Accountabilities
· Manage project scope and project budgets.
· Plan and manage and control project life cycle.
· Identify project stakeholders and set clear expectations.
· Plan and manage project resources.
· Manage project timelines.
· Track and report on critical project milestones.
· Manage timely, clear, and accurate project communication.
· Build strong strategic relationships with clients and contractors.
Responsibilities
· Plan projects- Define and control Project Scope, Statements of Work, estimate resource requirements and budgeting, develop and share project schedules, set quality standards and define project communication plan.
· Review project plans with cross-functional teams and confirm content of SOW, Floor Plans, and workflow.
· Work closely with engineers to identify the technical needs, identify technical team and finalize project scope in order to establish accurate List of Materials (LOMs) and timelines required to deliver each project.
· Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget while maintaining the highest quality delivery for clients.
· Effectively manage and maintain project communications- Communicate with project stakeholders throughout each project life cycle in a timely manner.
· Set and manage client expectations, control timelines and costs to budget, monitor quality of work, develop contingency plans for risk which go beyond project scope, pivot and take proactive corrective measures when needed.
· Manage resources- allocate project resources, optimize resource utilization, and prevent negative variances.
· Build project team accountability, set clear expectations with the team to complete tasks, lead, guide, and motivate them through their progress, and shift strategy when necessary.
· Assist with troubleshooting with project crew on site for network connectivity.
· Proactively assess risks; raise flags when is necessary and develop solutions as a team, while minimizing impact to project costs and timelines
· Plan and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
· Assist clients with various technical worksheets.
· Attend project sites to meet clients, oversee work, and be responsive and available to field teams on the job.
· Evaluate and report results of each project.
· Actively manage Project Tracker through Smartsheet
· Make decisions according to corporate values and objectives.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelors’ Degree
· Minimum 5 years’ Project Management Experience in similar industry
· Technical project management in IT network field- minimum 2 years- essentially candidate should have some IT networking knowledge.
