Based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, the Property Accountant will work with our dynamic accounting team. The Property Accountant will be responsible for all accounting functions, reconciliation and reports, for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following functions:

• Analysis of accounts receivable and payables
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Excise tax reconciliations and filings
• Monthly financial statements
• Preparation of an annual budget and subsequent variance analysis
• General ledger analysis
• Tenant recovery computation and analysis
• Working paper support for annual and quarterly financial statements
• Assistance and support on special projects and miscellaneous requests

Qualifications and Requirements:

• University Degree or Community College Diploma in accounting
• 3 -5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Proven problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to respond to periodic intensive workloads
