Job Description
- Position: Publicist, CTV, Bell Media
- Location: 299 Queen Street W
- Salary: Commensurate with Qualifications and Experence or As per Collective Agreement
- Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 9 am – 5 pm shift with overtime and shifted scheduling as required. May be required to work the occasional weekend
Bell Media is looking for a Publicist to support internal and external communications initiatives for CTV networks, including original and acquired programming. Love entertainment and working in a fast-paced environment? Have strong written and polished communications skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities and competing deadlines? Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, CTV, the incumbent will:
- Plan and execute strategic and proactive communications plans to ensure clear, consistent, and appropriate messaging for programming
- Develop key messages and core concepts and positioning
- Plan and execute media junkets, events, and photoshoots
- Build and maintain relationships with print, radio, and online media and partners through regular contact and pitches
- Develop communications materials including press releases, bios, backgrounders, etc. for internal and external communications
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including studio partners, distributors, and vendors
- Respond to media and internal parties’ requests for publicity materials
- Manage consistent and ongoing social media strategy for @CTV_PR social handles
- Create and analyze post-mortem and other reports as required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Completion of a public relations degree or equivalent
- Minimum of four years’ experience, in the communications/media/entertainment industry preferred
- Is a strong multi-tasker, organized, and efficient, and is capable of working on multiple priority projects at once
- Superior written and verbal communications skills
- Evidence of good working relationships with the media
- The ability to liaise professionally with members of the media, partners, on-air personalities, producers, and other internal and external contacts
- The ability to take initiative and work well under pressure
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
