Title: Clinical Counsellor

Synergy Health is Hiring!

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled clinical counsellor to join our team. As a clinical counsellor, you will be responsible for providing individual counselling to clients, as well as conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.

The best candidate will be excited to work in conjunction with an interdisciplinary health team, and meet with clients who have served in the armed forces (including their families) and/or who may be experiencing vocational transitions.

The position is part-time but can grow to full time based on referral volume. Sessions could be conducted virtually, if that is your preference. The position would be ideal for someone looking to add to their existing caseload, or maintain a reduced volume practice.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in counselling or a related field
• Licensure as a clinical counsellor in BC
• Member of the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association
• 5 years experience
• Experience providing counselling to clients with a variety of mental health concerns
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of clients to determine their mental health needs and develop treatment plans
• Provide individual and group therapy to clients, using evidence-based techniques
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' progress and treatment plans
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
