Come join our growing team!! Strathcona Long-Term Care is a state-of-the-art long term care home in Mount Forest, ON (located midway between Guelph and Owen Sound). We currently have an opening for an enthusiastic, skilled casual Registered Nurse (Charge Nurse - 12 hour shifts).
Our motto is, "Our residents do not live in our workplace, we work in their home."
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Current certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Experience in a long term care setting preferred
- Strong leadership and Supervisory skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must be able to deal with challenging situations; set priorities; deal with stress and time pressures.
- Must follow guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the facility, CNO Standards of Practice.
- Must have knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control policies and practices and be able to communicate these to residents, family, and staff
