Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide wound care, education, and medications to patients with general or straightforward illnesses or injuries
• Ongoing monitoring and assessment of patients
• Collaborate with the team for the treatment of a patient
• Use critical thinking skills to determine if a patient needs more specific or intense care

Qualifications:

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
• Current Registered Practical Nurse licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
• Minimum of 1000-1500 hours post license experience in a medical-surgical acute care setting within the past two (2) years
• Proof of competency in medical-surgical skills
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, hepatitis b
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
• Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider)
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire

Our experienced staffing coordinators, many of whom are pervious healthcare workers, understand your needs first-hand and will match you with the best shifts. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift.

Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
