Summer Program Assistant
July and August (8wks)
The Summer Program Assistant shall:
· assist the program coordinator in ensuring that all programs and programming facilities comply with the regulations of the Child Care Licensing Act.
· demonstrate a proactive, appropriate and positive approach to behaviour management issues and conflict resolution situations.
· ensure that activities are operating smoothly.
· create an environment that encourages a quality experience for children, staff and volunteers.
· ensure that the facilities are clean, organized and safe (weekly cleanings, daily safety checklists, etc.)
· report all concerns and/or issues regarding clientele to supervisors.
· promote the programs of the Ponoka Youth Centre to new, as well as existing, clientele through a proactive and positive approach.
· be familiar with and operate programs according to the policies and procedures of
the agency.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: $15.00-$17.62 per hour
