Skills and Requirements:
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively communicate with persons at all levels of the organization, including technical customers, non-technical customers, and management personnel.

Responsibilities:
- Maximize Sales, Gross Margin Dollars and Percentage, and EBITDA.
- Plans and consistently applies sales program that will insure maintenance of stable revenue levels.
- Promotes planned growth rate of sales consistent with the financial and physical capacities of H&S Heat Treating.
- Analyses and determines sales areas for saturation and exploitation.
- Forecasts sales volume (on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis) for each of the product areas informs the production department of his forecasted volume.
- Personally make necessary trips for contacting past customers, also contacts prospective customers to increase the Heat Treating Business.
- Answers customers’ sales inquiries, including availability of heat treating services and technical assistance to clients as to the appropriate processes to be used.
- Promotes to old and new clients all the new heat treating processes that H&S can provide. Presents in verbal and written communication the traits of the provided heat treating processes.
- Makes maximum effective use of advertising and promotional material in cooperation with customers and within Profit and Expense Control limitations.
- Arranges for, manages and attends industry exhibitions.
- Itemizes and records all contacts and possible sales established through exhibition.
- Maintains customer activity records for the purpose of evaluating their volume of business
- Maintains records for all sales activities and client contacts.
- Presents instructions and recommendations in writing, maintaining a master file for reference.
- Through personal initiative and through customers and others, to the greatest extent possible, remains aware of the activities and pricing of competitors.
- Develops pricing policy and initiates price change as required in cooperation with the President. Keeps special prices to selected customers to an absolute minimum.
- Prepares price quotations based on pricing policy, on cost figures and on known industry pricing standards
- Entertains customers when they are in town.
- Maintains a continuing program for the promotion of good customer relations, providing prompt servicing of all inquiries and complaints, coordinating such matters with other functions as is necessary.
- If the volume of the business or the geographic locations increases to an extent where one person cannot cover the required sales work, the Vice President - Sales in conjunction with other Sr. Management will recruit additional sales personnel.
