Great North is currently searching for a Shop Technician
Location: Grand Prairie
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
OT over 8 hours
Type: Full Time

Responsibilities and Duties
- Shop Technician is responsible for Disassembly, Inspecting/accessing, assembly, and paint a variety of pressure containing equipment.
- Safely use hand-tools and various manual methods of material handling.
- Assist in other shop duties, Shipping/Receiving, Warehousing, Customer Property Repair, Valve Repair, Etc.
- To promote the development of a strong, cohesive team.
- Demonstrate good house keeping and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Always maintain a safety compliance score of 80%-100%.
- Fully support documented internal company quality programs and procedures and safety programs.
- To work in consort with all other division and branch’s
Qualifications and Skills
- Highschool Diploma
- Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and move items that typically weigh up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Mechanical background considered an asset
- Forklift Experience considered an asset
- Overhead Crane Experience considering an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
