A position has become available for a Warehouse Yard Person based in Johnstown, ON Canada.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The core purpose of the Warehouse Yard Person is to adhere to the company Health, Safety & Security policies, and procedures; while moving product in the warehouse, trucks and trailers.

The position is based in the Yard and will also include preparation of shipments in the Warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Loading and Unloading Trucks both in the Warehouse & the Yard

· Shipping and receiving product including documentation and data entry

· Operate forklift to load/unload trailers and move product within facility

· Use of handheld scanner to manage inventory

· Shunting customers product from near by facility to our yard for storage, consolidation,
and furtherance on a combination of our trucks.

· Liaise with and assist customers and sub-contractors

· Emergency after hours call out

REQUIREMENTS:

· Previous warehouse experience will be required

· Forklift experience is preferred

· AZ license is preferred (CDL)

· Must be physically able to lift (nothing too heavy) and function in a warehouse environment

· Good computer skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required but with excellent inter-personal skills, when working in a team

· Safety awareness and a willingness to learn and adhere to the company Health, Safety and Security standards

This is an hourly wage position with the provision of overtime when needed.
