Job Summary:

You are an experienced Surveyor with over 3 years of experience working in rail transit projects. You will support the survey function on this project using your highly developed technical skills. The key deliverables of this position will see you being primarily responsible for construction guidance and direction, survey and layout and survey data management.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide primary field-level guidance to construction progress by translating engineered designs and survey technology to as-built design developments
• Establish a project survey plan and outline specific field and office procedures.
• Oversee the operation with periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures and survey audits to ensure that all work is performed in an efficient and professional manner.
• Assist with weekly staff training sessions to ensure a competent and qualified staff.
• Utilization of GPS and Total Station equipment for surveying activities
• Model engineering drawings using CAD programs and provides overlay drawings for potential conflicts if required
• Ability to perform tasks efficiently without direct supervision

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ related project experience is essential
• Previous experience working for a contractor on major civil infrastructure projects is required
• Prior experience working in a live rail environment will be highly regarded
• Must have previous surveying experience in the construction industry working with GPS, Total Station and CAD programs
• Must have a strong work ethic and knowledge of form systems and procedures is considered an asset
