Position Description:

We are looking for a talented, energetic individual with a dedication to quality to join our growing team in Burnaby, B.C.
As a Technical Writer you will play a key role in maintaining and creating technical documentation for customers and partners. The technical documents will vary from product user manuals & application notes to internal knowledge bases. Technical knowledge to understand the products, technology and solutions is a must as well as the ability to communicate it in plain language. Your role is to be the content expert within the technical support and engineering teams – you will partner with content writers within the marketing organization to collectively translate technical document generation into marketing content. Embracing partnership and collaboration will be critical within this role.
Algo products are tested and compatible to work efficiently with over 60 different unified communication, mass notification and collaboration systems – including many globally utilized platforms such as Cisco, Microsoft Teams, Ring Central, Zoom and many more. You will partner with technical resources as well as the marketing team to generate a constant stream of documentation. Expertise in VoIP would be extremely helpful.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support development of documentation, including user manuals, application notes and installation guides.
- Test Algo endpoints with compatible technology systems and hardware.
- Document testing process and work with marketing content team to create ongoing output of valuable interoperability content.
- Create content to help team members achieve a goal or complete a task.
- Work with the customer support and engineering teams to develop accurate documentation.
Required Skills Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree/Diplomas/Certificates in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience/education
- Experience developing technical documentation
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English
- Troubleshooting skills
Valuable Skills and Experiences:
- Experience in a VoIP environment
- Experience with network maintenance
- Software development or QA experience
- Understanding of hardware and electrical circuits
- Technical support experience
This is a full-time position working from our 4500 Beedie Street Burnaby B.C. facility. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications along with group medical and dental benefits.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
