PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


As a Technical Writer position for all I/O applications/solutions, you will be a core member of the DCS team who will work with our business partners to deliver business values in the area of all I/O applications/solutions through projects and application sustainment activities. With minimal supervision, Specialists are responsible to analyze complex situations, demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking techniques to validate understanding of existing infrastructure technology solutions and validate new solution designs. Maintains a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), (AGILE, Accelerated SAP (ASAP), Waterfall) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) procedures. In this role, the employee must possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent writing skills, and an expert knowledge of desktop publishing and online help authoring tools, proven ability to work with SME's to effectively extract technical information into clear, concise and understandable documentation, and experienced in learning and excelling in new technologies as needed. The employee as need to demonstrated attention to detail, research abilities and exceptional follow-through skills


POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Created process flow diagrams and high-level overviews of processes that include the name of the process, process triggers, major process steps, process outputs, and actor-based workflow identifications
  • Develop workflow detail diagrams that outline the tasks performed by, and information exchanged between, individual actors at each step in a process flow
  • Documentation of manufacturing, operations, and financial business processes
  • Demonstrated process management skills
  • Designed and maintained branding styles and templates
  • Create documentation for engineers, field service personnel and other technical audiences
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage customer expectations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent writing skills and an expert knowledge of desktop publishing authoring tools – preferably Microsoft Suite

NICE TO HAVE

  • Converged Infrastructure experience with specialization in one of the three base technologies (Compute, Storage or Networking)
  • Strong practical experience using a wide variety of programming languages C#, VB.Net. Preferred
  • Ability to independently deliver on achieving operational excellence, including but not limited to: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and deliverables within the Project Management Office (PMO). (High proficiency)
