Job Description:
The Seabee Gold Operation is an underground gold mining and milling operation, located near Laonil Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, approximately 125 kilometers northeast of the town of La Ronge. The Santoy underground mine has been in continuous commercial production since 2014. Commercial production at the Seabee underground mine commenced in 1991 and exhausted Mineral Resources in 2018. All ore is processed at the Seabee mill facility, which has been in operation since 1991.
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert & La Ronge.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Site Services this position will be responsible for the preventive & corrective maintenance of the site facilities to ensure they are maintained, upgraded, setup and repaired in a safe and professional manner. The ideal candidate for this role will have basic carpentry, plumbing and industrial kitchen equipment knowledge.
  • Routine facility inspections and preventive & corrective maintenance duties.
  • Ensuring camp walkways are clear of debris and snow.
  • Troubleshoot minor plumbing, heating and carpentry issues.
  • Troubleshoot kitchen and fitness equipment issues.
  • Performs job walk downs, risk evaluations, develop task sequencing, capture pertinent details, understand resource and material requirements and document for corrective maintenance.
  • Identify, address and or report hazards to supervisor and planning department.
  • Interpret mid to long term plans and translate to a day-to-day schedule to meet those plans.
  • Assist with procedure and documentation related to SOP’s & Job Plans.
  • Maintain grounds, facilities and equipment ensuring they are ready for use.
  • Recommend ongoing continuous improvements in work planning, project management and scheduling practices.
  • Contribute to a supportive and positive work environment.
  • Monitor and report on progress of work schedules, plans and projects on a continuous basis.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

  • Minimum two (2) years working in a property maintenance setting.
  • Safety first attitude.

  • Basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment and fitness equipment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, as required by the position.
