Established in 1902, at Trenton Cold Storage our specialty is customized temperature-controlled warehousing and distribution. We provide Canada with more than 34,000,000 cubic feet of cold storage and refrigerated warehouse space in our seven Ontario and two Alberta facilities. We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $23.50 per hour

Schedule: Flexibility in schedule and overtime work will be required. The position involves working on rotating shifts Monday to Friday. Shifts will be a M.A.D. rotation (8-hour shifts, Midnights, Afternoons, Days).

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing warehousing operations and act as a liaison to the shift supervisor. Responsible for Supervisor/shift. Ensure customer requirements and satisfaction is met. As well as maintain and monitor health and safety regulations are followed.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Ensure on the job training of all new employee’s is completed effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Monitor shipping and receiving to ensure customer’s requirements are met.
• Liaise with customers.
• Monitor health and safety.
• Oversee daily warehouse activities.
• Supervise Warehouse operators.
• Complete daily paperwork in a timely manner
• Ensure all warehouse operators follow all safety instructions and work rules.
• Assist with problem solving/troubleshooting in the warehouse.
• Ensure accuracy of all pick sheets (paperwork) and ensure proper distribution.
• Disciple shift employees in accordance with company’s progressive discipline policy.
• Write in logbook a detailed summary of daily activities.
• Research and record keeping of employee performance.
• Maintain, monitor and train staff on health and safety work practices.
• Investigating and reporting incidents to warehouse manager.

Requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school

Experience: Experience is an asset. We will train.

• This position is physically demanding and involves manual labour.
• Workers must be able to work in cold temperatures (-18C)
• Workers must have good communication skills and be able to use computers
• Forklift license is an asset
• Must be able to lift up to 23kg (50 lbs.)
