Under the direction of the Web Development Manager, The Web Application Developer will primarily focus on developing and implementing reusable front-end components into a cohesive design. Additional duties may include collaborating with designers, building server-sided APIs, and benchmarking to build responsive applications.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design web applications with rich user interfaces integrated with server-side logic.
• Adapt existing solutions or open-source products to create cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
• Writing reusable and efficient code to build scalable, performant applications.
• Redesign existing processes with a thoughtful user experience.
• Integrating multiple data sources and databases into a unified system.
• Specific duties the position will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in computing science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies and UI/UX design.
• Familiarity with functional Reacts using Material-UI with Emotion.
• Exceptional understanding of JavaScript, Typescript is a great asset.
• Knowledge of isomorphic Node.js frameworks (Next.js is preferred).
• Understanding of Node.js bundlers and transpilers – specifically Webpack and Babel.
• Experience with Adobe XD to design high-fidelity mock-ups.
• Ability to use code versioning tools in a team environment.
• Fluent in English with proven skills in verbal and written communication.
