Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Reporting to the Manager, Workplace Strategy, the Workplace Strategy Coordinator initiates, manages and coordinates all operational reporting and workplace data undertaken by Workplace Strategy; plans, and contributes to workplace accommodation services and related projects in support of facilities and service objectives for Metrolinx Business Units as part of the Workplace Strategy team.

What will I be doing?
  • Coordinates realty services for general office facilities and related assets and projects, including:
    • Initiates, project manages and coordinates the requirements of business relocations to ensure an accurate inventory of assets and occupancy through data management of Metrolinx Business Units
    • Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions relating to Workplace Strategy
    • Identifies and implements continuous business improvement enhancements to existing process and/or automation tools to enhance overall efficiency
    • Maintains knowledge of business requirements to monitor facilities project progress and deliver program objectives on time and within budgetary limits to achieve anticipated business results
    • Monitors the performance of Workplace service delivery for compliance with contract terms and conditions
    • Builds client relationships with assigned business groups and operating divisions to advise clients on workplace real estate matters, and coordinate business unit requests in compliance with workplace safety legislation, policies, and standards
  • Prepares and reviews complex documents as it relates to accommodation matters by:
    • Develops project plans, work breakdown structures, and supporting documentation for workplace strategy projects
    • Editing documents from consultants and contractors prior to submission for approval
    • Provides input to Workplace project budgets; monitors adherence to established budget limitations
    • Prepares application support documentation through analysis and obtains information on applicable costs to engage contractors/vendors and purchase services, reviews contractor invoices for accuracy and processes payments
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
  • Completion of a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Minimum four (4) years’ relevant experience
  • Ability to understand, explain, and implement workplace strategy and facilities solutions.
  • Strong technical skills and data management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Excel/Power BI and/or relevant data analytics platforms is an asset
  • Working knowledge of CAFM or IWMS platforms is an asset
