9am-2pm Mon-Fri Accounting Role

PLEASE NOTE: This is a temporary 6-month contract with possibility of a permanent part-time position.

This job operates in a hybrid model required to work out of our Delta, BC office with office days currently on Monday and Wednesdays.

About the Opportunity

Currently, Taymor is looking for someone with accounting experience to support both payables, receivables, and general accounting, with things such as:

• Review and process complex accounts payable and/or accounts receivable transactions
• Call customers for accounts receivable collections
• Perform general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting packages
• Prepares journal entries
• Prepare reconciliations for bank and intercompany accounts, monitoring unusual bank activity and resolving anomalies
• Assist with period end and year-end close, and working paper preparation and year-end audit
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

About You

To qualify, you will need at least 2-3 years of experience related to accounting.

In addition, you have:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High competence in customer service
• Strong understanding of debits and credits and flow of information through an accounting system
• Excellent time management skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Open to learning and development
