As Kingston’s Largest Independent Coffee house and scratch Bakery, we are passionate about coffee, food, pastries, desserts and cakes while continuing to building a solid reputation for exceptional quality, service, and selection.
Our Bakery is searching for a skilled baker / cake decorator to add to its amazing staff.
- Day time hours ONLY.
- Flexible scheduling.
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork.
- Knife skills or previous experience in a kitchen is preferred.
- Food Handlers Certificate required.
- Willing to Train.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an individual who is:
- an experienced (or self-employed) Baker and Cake Decorator.
- comfortable with duties and procedures required in performing all baking tasks.
- able to follow recipes accurately and independently.
- able to measure, weigh and prepare ingredients.
- able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- occasionally able exert or lift up to 50 pounds and frequently exert or lift negligible amounts of weight.
- able to stand for large periods of time.
- Ensure quality standards by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, handling of food products.
- Label, package and handle product selection.
- Follow product presentation guidelines and aesthetics.
- Order receiving.
- Coordinate special orders as needed.
