Director of Sales and Marketing
Job Summary:
Are you a motivated team player with proven experience leading a sales and marketing team? We are hiring a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead a team of 5 talented and motivated direct reports in sales, marketing, and customer advocacy.
In this role, you will lead a sales and marketing team focusing on marketing and selling our CRM, online fundraising, and cloud-hosting solutions to philanthropic organizations.
Our ideal candidate is a strategic and enthusiastic revenue-driven professional who understands best practices in marketing, sales and customer advocacy. The Director of Sales and Marketing will report to the General Manager and is responsible for providing updates regarding the sales pipeline, marketing, and customer attrition.

This is a 1-year contract position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage 5 direct reports (Sr. Sales Manager, Sales Managers, Customer Advocate Manager and Marketing Manager)
- Ensure sales pipeline coverage is substantial to meet the revenue goals
- Oversee and execute revenue forecasting for monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
- Monitor progress of yearly marketing plan to support sales goals for current customer opportunities and net new prospect opportunities
- Coach Sales Managers on sales strategy and approaches to close deals
- Coach Marketing Manager on new approaches, marketing tactics, and shifting areas of priority
- Coach Customer Advocate Manager on approaches to unique customer situations and advocacy initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing
- Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies
- Experience with marketing automation, Marketo is a plus
- Understanding and experience of best practices and processes for a sales department
