Job description
A key member of the Operations team, the Dispatcher/Fleet Manager will be responsible for a team of professional long-haul drivers and for the utilization of assigned equipment. Reporting directly to the Lead Fleet Manager, the successful candidate will play an active role in achieving operational goals and team targets.
Core duties:
· Performance Manage a team of approximately 30 Drivers/Brokers
· Single source of contact for all drivers
· Maintain and update Truckmate dispatch software
· Oversee loads from pickup to delivery
· Monitor hours of service
· Maintain records and documentation
· Other duties as required
Qualifications
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
· Working knowledge of Truckmate and PC Miler is an asset
· Minimum 2 years verifiable experience in a similar role
· Relevant post-secondary education or a combination of related education and experience is required
