What You’ll Do

• Manage and deliver community infrastructure planning, design, and construction projects
• Work in and lead project teams
• Supervise junior staff delivering infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients
• Prepare proposals for competitive and non-competitive project opportunities
• Prepare detailed design calculations and work with CAD team members on design drawing development
• Write technical reports for master planning and infrastructure assessments
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications
• Prepare construction bid documents
• Administer construction contracts
• Supervise construction inspections including quality control and assurance

What You’ll Bring

• A positive and motivated personality!
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering program
• Professional engineer designation with EGBC
• 7-12 years of municipal engineering work experience, consulting background preferred
• Experience with project management, coordination, and working in a team environment
• Experience with a variety of civil engineering work
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
• A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role
• A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory
• Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain
