Job Overview:

The Service Desk Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of Give & Go’s computer infrastructure, which includes maintaining networks, servers, switches, and security programs and other infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate with senior team members to implement new technologies that are aligned with the company’s long-term plan (LTP) and present the business case regarding the benefits of adopting new technologies or company processes
  • Installation and configuration of software, hardware, and networks, managing all network servers and technology tools utilized by company employees
  • Set up employee accounts and workstations, reviews and finalizes the User, gather operation and technical documentation to be signed, and assist with the user training
  • Coordinate the acquisition and movement of all Information Technology Services assets throughout the company
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues brought forward by Give & Go employees, seeking a solution in a timely manner
  • Managing all incoming tickets to the company’s ticket management system
  • Provide maintenance of the data centers, including racking servers and network devices, and cabling
  • Monitor backups and testing system performance and provide statistics and reports to the leadership team
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls, and upgrading systems with new releases and models when applicable
  • Adopting the proper security technologies such as Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, DLP, Web Filter and Control

Recipe for Success:

  • Completion of college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Information Technology Services role with project experience in client server environment
  • Must have an understanding of setup, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Windows desktops, notebooks, as well as iOS/Android devices, in a networked environment, with the inclusion of, Windows 10, Office/Office 365, Outlook, MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Must have the ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
  • Must possess basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, VLANs etc.)
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of WiFi and IoT enabled devices.
