Waymarker Hospitality is looking for a Junior Accountant!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and payments.
- Keep and Maintain vendor files.
- Assist in response to internal and external accounting-based inquiries.
- Assist in month end duties and payroll submission
- Assist in journal entry preparation for month end entries
- Assist other members of the accounting team,
- Assist with the year-end auditing process.
- Assist with other duties as requested by the Vice President of Operations
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work mostly as an individual as well as part of a team
- Ability to work within set deadlines
- Professional, approachable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian GAAP
Proficiency in:
- Microsof Office
- Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with Simply Accounting and QuickBooks is an asset
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in Accounting and or Data Processing
- Experience with Payroll software an asset
- Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance or equivalent
Visa Requirements: Applicant must hold the proper work authorization to be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
